Henrietta Frewin

Practice Manager - NVQ Level 2 and 3

Henrietta is currently on maternity leave for 12 months.

Henrietta started veterinary nursing in the UK in 1998 and qualified in 2003.  She worked as Head Nurse in a small animal clinic for 6 years before leaving the UK in October, 2010.

Henrietta worked in Melbourne and Sydney and enjoyed travelling around Australia before moving to Canberra in February, 2012, where she started working at Manuka Veterinary Hospital.  She finds her work both challenging and rewarding, and takes great pride in making Manuka Veterinary Hospital the best environment possible.

Henrietta continues to enjoy travelling, and has a love for music and sport.  Aside from veterinary nursing, she also enjoys pet-sitting and has many local pets that she regularly looks after.

Maddison Shannon-Hooper

Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing,

Maddison is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse with 10 years of experience. She has a passion for all things nursing, and is highly committed to continuing education.. She is an extremely caring nurse and her bubbly attitude brightens the day, not only of her patients, but the staff as well.

In her free time, Maddison goes for hikes with her boyfriend and their puppies Quack and Oink, or can also be found having a coffee with friends or riding her horse, Dakota.

Caitlin Fyle

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing

Since she was young, Caitlin has wanted to work with animals. However, decided to study Visual Art and Animation for a year and a half, before returning to her original career goal. Now being a fully qualified Vet Nurse, she enjoys expanding her knowledge on the best care of her patients. She was also chosen to join the 2019 team to visit the remote regions of outback Australia to aid in the care of those animals.

Caitlin is also a registered veterinary nurse through the AVNAT national registration shceme for veterinary nurses and technicians.

Caitlin owns 2 cats, 6 horses and 2 Alaskan malamutes. Spending her spare time either with her menagerie or sitting down with a sketchbook and pencils.


Teri Ross

Registered Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing 

Teri started as a volunteer student at Manuka Veterinary Hospital at the beginning of 2018 before becoming a full-time member of the team in 2019. She is now a proud, fully certified, veterinary nurse. Teri owns a lovely DLH cat named Nuenonne, and a very affectionate Cattle Dog named Remi. She spends the majority of her spare time spoiling them and them her.
Teri is also a registered veterinary nurse through the AVNAT national registration scheme for veterinary nurses and technicians.

Jess Smith

Veterinary Nurse - Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing

Jess has recently returned from a two and a half year stint in Adelaide, whilst over there she acquired two rescue cats that have been named Mack (the ginger) and Cairo (the grey and white fluffy).
Jess spends most of time creating new enrichment activities for and training her cats (yes! They have basic manners and can sit on command!) She also spends a fair bit of her time reading and is keen to get back into an active lifestyle again.
